Throwing Voices

Throwing Voices was a collaborative project with the Edinburgh International Book Festival 2019, where I had the honour of working alongside Guyanese writer Imam Baksh and Scottish musician Heir of the Cursed. Part of the festival’s Indigenous Voices programme, the project looked at how local language, culture and tradition can resonate across linguistic divides. Using selected objects and words, indigenous authors and artists from around the world were invited to share their experiences in special events featuring music, verse and discussion.
